About

A viewpoint on the TF-38, the road that climbs from the south-west into the national park. Below you stretch black lava flows, with Pico Viejo and Teide above them; in the other direction lies the Guía de Isora coast and, on clear days, La Gomera. For guests staying in Callao Salvaje, it's the natural first stop on the way to Teide.

Our tip

Only stop in the marked lay-by – the TF-38 is a fast, winding road and walking on the verge is dangerous.
