About
A few minutes above the Costa Adeje hotels lies a completely different world – Adeje's historic centre, with its main street, Calle Grande, the 16th-century church of Santa Úrsula and the remains of the Casa Fuerte, a fortified manor house dating from 1556. The street is lined with local restaurants, known above all for garlic chicken and Canarian dishes.
Our tip
Combine it with an early-morning Barranco del Infierno hike – the trail starts at the top end of Calle de los Molinos, a few steps from Calle Grande. TITSA buses also run up to Adeje from Costa Adeje.
