About
The table mountain above Arona is the most striking peak in the south – from its flat summit you can see the whole coast from Los Cristianos to Costa Adeje, plus La Gomera and Teide. The path from the hamlet of Vento first drops into the Barranco del Rey ravine, then zigzags up past abandoned terraces to a plateau of old fields and cacti.
Our tip
The nearest proper hike to the apartments (15 minutes by car). The small car park at the trailhead fills up fast; take 2 litres of water and a hat – there's no water source along the way.
