About
A family winery in the hills of El Sauzal, run by the fifth generation of the Monje family. It offers cellar tours, tastings with Canarian cheeses, mojo-making classes and a restaurant with a terrace looking out over the vineyards, Teide and the ocean. A great plan for a cloudy day in the north, too.
Our tip
Book your tour in advance; the restaurant doesn't serve food on Mondays and the kitchen closes at 16:30. The Casa del Vino wine museum and the Tacoa brewery are a short way away.
What to order
Red wines from grapes grown in volcanic soil, aged in old oak barrels; a tasting with Canarian cheeses or a mojo-making class.
