About
A black-sand cove about 200 m long beneath high cliffs and banana plantations. Nature is wild here and the waves are usually strong, so it's more a beach for sunbathing and admiring the view than for swimming. There's a beach bar, toilets, sunbeds and a lifeguard.
Our tip
The narrow road ends at a pay car park; the last part is on foot down a steep flight of steps. Alternatively, walk from Puerto de la Cruz through the banana plantations (about 45 minutes).
