About

One of the longest lava tubes in the world – an underground labyrinth with kilometres of passages, formed by lava from the Pico Viejo volcano tens of thousands of years ago. On a guided tour, with a helmet and torch, you walk through part of the tube past lava formations. A superb plan for a cloudy day in the north.

Our tip

Children under 5 are not allowed and the ground inside is uneven – sturdy footwear is essential. Tickets must be bought online in advance; cash isn't accepted on site.
