About

The Drago Milenario is the largest known dragon tree (Dracaena draco) – a symbol of Tenerife, estimated to be several hundred years old. It grows in a small park of endemic plants in the centre of Icod de los Vinos, a town also known for its wine and the historic church of San Marcos.

Our tip

The best free view is from the Plaza de Lorenzo Cáceres by the church of San Marcos. Combine it with the Cueva del Viento lava tube and Garachico, both within 15 minutes by car.
