About

Large seawater pools built beside the cliffs at Bajamar, with a smaller children's pool and a little beach. They have a Blue Flag for 2026, as does the El Arenisco pool a few kilometres further on in Punta del Hidalgo, where the road ends and the trails into Anaga begin. When the sea is big on the north coast, the waves crash spectacularly over the pools.

Our tip

In winter, the pools are often closed when the northerly swells roll in. Combine your visit with a hike from Punta del Hidalgo to Chinamada.
