About
One of the island's oldest settlements lies in a green valley on Anaga's north coast – white cottages on the slopes, a little church and terraced vineyards. A few kilometres further down, by the black beach of Roque de las Bodegas, there are fishermen's restaurants serving fresh fish, with the wild Atlantic right outside the window.
Our tip
The road from El Bailadero goes through a tunnel and down steep hairpin bends. Swimming at Roque de las Bodegas is only possible when the sea is completely calm – there are strong currents.
