About
Nearly 1.5 km of golden sand, shipped in from the Sahara in the 1970s and fringed by palms and the Anaga mountains. A stone breakwater keeps the water as calm as a lagoon, making it excellent for children. Being in the north-east, though, it's often windy and cloudier than the south.

Stop at the Mirador de Las Teresitas viewpoint above the beach – the best photo of the golden arc with the village of San Andrés.
