About

The most famous view of Teide: the rock towers of Roques de García, with the leaning Roque Cinchado in the foreground and Teide's summit behind. The PNT 03 circular trail loops right round this ‘city of rock’, and from the La Ruleta viewpoint you look the other way across the flat plain of Llano de Ucanca. Right next door is the Parador, with a café and toilets.

Our tip

The first section of the loop is manageable with a pushchair or wheelchair; the rest is rocky with one steeper section, so sturdy footwear is a must. If the cable car stops because of wind, this is the best alternative.
